Ex-boss shows some teeth at Smiles Inclusive


The pain at listed dentistry outfit Smiles Inclusive has increased substantially this week with founder-executive director Mike Timoney's employment terminated just hours after he led a second attempt to spill the board... also said late on Wednesday it had withdrawn its February-issued 2019 profit guidance that it would post a small loss of between $500,000 and $1 million, saying it now expected to lose $4 million for the year.

Dentists can be the first line of defense against domestic violence


New findings indicate that oral biomarkers may help health providers identify victims of domestic violence...the article reports that as much as 75 percent of head and neck trauma associated with domestic violence occurs with oral injury. Researchers concluded that dentists are in the unique position to be the first line of defense in identifying evidence of assault, and then reporting potential cases of domestic violence.
