Patient data potentially compromised in alleged dental clinic data breach


Hackers have published what appears to be a trove of Australian patient data on the dark web after claiming to have hacked a Victorian dental practice. INC Ransom made the claims in a 12 August post on its darknet leak site, alleging to have breached Brighton East Dental Clinic.

A retired Sydney dentist has been ordered to pay $4,300 after stealing two valuable plant cuttings from a North Bondi property. Paul Coumbis, 67, appeared at Waverley Local Court after pleading guilty to five charges relating to the unusual incident at an O’Brien Street apartment complex.
