Dentist reprimanded for professional misconduct


A South Australian tribunal has found a dentist guilty of professional misconduct for falsifying medical certificates...Dr McKenna falsified two medical certificates so as not to attend two compulsory seminars for her postgraduate studies on the 28 May and 15 June 2020.

ADA backs interim Senate report on dentistry in Australia


The Australian Dental Association (ADA) has welcomed the release of the interim report on dentistry in Australia by the Senate Committee taking a close look at dental services. While the final report is not due out until the end of the year, the ADA welcomes the inquiry into public dentistry and the release of its interim findings.

A parliamentary inquiry found almost all of the community supports the expansion of free dental as Australians put off dentist trips... cost of a trip to the dentist with a basic check-up, clean and fluoride an average of $219, although prices fluctuate between $162 and $309. The average cost of a tooth extraction is $205 while a full crown will set you back $1678.
